Napless days? Sleepless nights?
Don't settle for the lack to sleep! Let's work together to get your little one on an age appropriate schedule and get things on the right track.
FAQs
When can we start working together?
While I want to help families start with the best sleep practices from night one, we can implement a formal sleep plan once your baby reaches 16 weeks adjusted age. At this age we know the child’s circadian rhythms are established, wake periods are increasing, night sleep is getting longer and bedtime moves earlier.
Why won’t my baby sleep?
This question can have so many answers! Based on your child’s age, we need to consider how much sleep they should be getting, if you are following an age appropriate sleep schedule and if they rely on ‘help’ getting to sleep whether from motion, nursing, or another sleep crutch.
Will I need to wean night feeds?
Not necessarily! While a growing baby requires multiple feedings within 24 hours, I will review your specific schedule to determine if the current night feeds are nutritional based, or seem more comfort related. I always recommend families defer to their physician or a lactation consultant regarding concerns around the quantity and frequency of night feeds.
How do I know if I need support?
Great question! I don’t believe there is a ‘one size fits all approach’ which is why I offer a range of services. The best way to determine the best fit for your family is to schedule a consultation. During the 15 minute consultation we will talk about your child’s current schedule, your sleep goals and if you are on the right track to reach those goals. Contact me!
Do you work with toddlers?
I do! I work with children up to the age of 5. Having a toddler myself I know all too well how smart, independent and spirited they can be. Whether you are needing sleep help for a newly surfaced issue, are struggling with naps/early morning’s or considering making the move out of the crib, let’s chat!
Do I have to let my baby ‘Cry It Out’?
No, not if you aren’t comfortable with it! I won’t lie, there will be some tears as we adjust your child’s expectations of sleep time. But we will work together to review and select the method you are most comfortable implementing. If you aren’t completely committed to the method we choose, our time together won’t be as effective.
