
Meet Jess…
Hi there! My name is Jessica Kortsen and I am a Certified Pediatric Sleep Coach.
I’ve been there - It wasn’t all that long ago that I was a sleep deprived new mom, feeling burnt out and thinking I was failing at all thing’s motherhood! Little did I know, a healthy sleep routine was the key component my little one was missing.
Since finding my passion for all things sleep, I believe in building healthy sleep habits early in life so that children can develop as strongly as possible. Sleep, or lack thereof, can affect a child’s mood, immune health, mental health, socialization, and more.
Before finding a Baby Sleep Coach myself, I had no idea what I was doing and how my daughter should be sleeping. The only thing I knew about baby sleep, was that I shouldn’t expect my baby to sleep at all in the first months of life! What a common misconception!
Are you rocking, bouncing, singing, snuggling or laying with your child to help them get even 15 minutes of sleep day or night? Is it working? You are not alone!
Why me?
I asked “my” Sleep Coach the same thing! She was so awesome, why don’t I just send clients her way. “There are too many tired moms for me to help alone” she said. I was again reminded that so many families struggle with their little one’s and I wanted to become part of their solution!
There is no “magic” touch. The magic, is just knowledge, and knowledge is a powerful thing! Knowing age-appropriate sleep schedules, how to create a safe and conducive sleep environment and knowing that children need to learn to fall asleep independently are the keys to healthy sleep.
My husband and I often look at each other now and just tell each other how happy we are that we made sleep a priority for our family!
